DR. MICHAEL COSTANTINO

Dr. Michael Costantino is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1988. Following residency and post graduate training, he entered private practice in 1993 in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, New York.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, he is board certified in foot surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Costantino has served as a doctor for the New York State International Longshoreman Association providing care to Longshoremen and their families.

Dr. Costantino joined the staff of Orthopedic Excellence of Long Island in 2005 where he became one of the earliest podiatrists in downstate New York to provide surgical care as a member of an orthopedic surgery group.

While with Orthopedic Excellence of Long Island, he was affiliated with Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre where he served as inaugural chief for the section of podiatry, a section of the department of Orthopedics; providing reconstructive foot surgery, podiatric trauma surgery and emergency surgical services to patients with infections and wounds. Orthopedic Excellence of Long Island would join the physician’s group at Winthrop University Hospital in 2013. Dr. Costantino would begin performing procedures at both Winthrop’s main operating rooms and its ambulatory surgical facility.

During his career, he has also been as affiliated and has performed surgery at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn and Cabrini Medical Center in Manhattan and has served on various committees throughout the institutions he has been affiliated with.

Dr. Costantino specializes in reconstructive foot surgery, diabetic limb salvage and wound care, and the management of both acute and chronic podiatric trauma patients. He has lectured professionally on the use of emerging biosynthetic products and grafting materials as well as emergency treatment of the acute podiatric trauma patient.

After 2 decades of practicing in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island, Dr. Costantino has fulfilled a long term goal of living in Florida and has relocated to West Palm Beach where he has established Precision Foot Care assuming the practice of Howard Streigold and the late Kenneth Hamburg, D.P.M. in suite 6600 of the Victor Farris Building at 1411 North Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach, Florida adjacent to Good Samaritan Medical Center.
